Ready for a journey through history? We start in Matera, a UNESCO site and European Capital of Culture 2019. We will walk through the labyrinthine streets of the Sassi district, with its panoramic balconies and characteristic dwellings carved into the rock, to the Gravina stream. Here we will cross a suspension bridge that will take us into the vast Parco della Murgia Materana: a walk through the most green nature awaits us, accompanied by the scents of the Mediterranean maquis, numerous varieties of wild flowers and tall ferula plants! But we will also discover ancient rock churches and hermit refuges, walking along hidden sheep tracks, always immersed in the incredible panorama of the city of the Sassi.
