Are you ready for a bike ride in the heart of the Itria Valley? The starting point is Alberobello, the inimitable Trulli capital and UNESCO heritage site. The route takes you into the Barsento wood, just a stone’s throw from the very special rural church, built as if it were a trullo! Cycling between dry stone walls and quiet country roads, we arrive in Locorotondo. Here we can take a short break and enjoy a delicious light lunch, with typical products and quality local wines, while taking advantage of the wonderful view of the vineyards and the valley. After passing through the white historic centre, with its churches and balconies full of flowers, our ride continues through the lush Puglia countryside. Among cherry, almond and olive trees, we ride through the most authentic part of the Itria Valley, returning to Alberobello to conclude the tour.
